It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alberta Betty Lou McDonald Hanson of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Cox and Francis Cox (Rankin); her former husband Fred R. McDonald; her husband Myron "Mike" E. Hanson; and her daughter Bertha Elizabeth "Liz" Wigger.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ramey of Lafayette, Janie Lou Griffith of Lafayette, Raedean "DeDe" Bunch (Joe "Buddy") of Lafayette, Bobby Ray Rufus of Lafayette and Frieda Jolene Ames of Fl; her stepson Freddie McDonald; and her sister Helen Hensley. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Berta's name may be given to the Pentecostal Church of God, 3616 S. 9th St., Lafayette, IN 47909.
