He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shoemaker and Dorothy Shoemaker (Cook). He is survived by: his wife Mary Caster; his children, Sherry Gunckle of Lafayette, Johnny Shoemaker of Delphi and Susan Shoemaker of Florida; his sisters, Wanda Atkins of Lafayette and Carol Koons (Richard) of Dayton; and his grandchildren, Ryan Wilkinson of Lafayette, Brooke Shoemaker of Demotte, Brittany Boyer (K. C.) of Wheatfield, Erika Shoemaker of Medaryville, Taylor Clem of Lafayette, Morgan Patterson of Lafayette and Patterson of Florida. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
