Betty Jean Thompson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Thompson of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dewitt and Fayville Marie Dewitt (Clark); her husband James Robert "Bob" Thompson; and her niece Beverly A. Sterrett. She is survived by: her daughter Linda Kay Butler (late Bob) of Lafayette; her sibling's children, Denny Fagan (Betty) of Battleground and Donna Clymer (Larry) of Anderson; her great-niece Angela Meek (Jerry) of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Deanna Coopman (Keith) and Gary Ogden (Jan). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, several great-nieces and nephews, several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Current Covid-19 precautions will be observed along with social distancing and current government attendance guidelines.
