He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Nickle and Maxine Nickle (Wier); his spouse Clotine Knipp; his son Raymond Nickle; and his stepson Ronald Knipp.
He is survived by: his daughter Diane Lynn Fulford; and his stepsons, Jim Knipp of Lafayette and Larry Knipp (Denise) of Lafayette. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
