Dolores Ferne Layer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dolores Ferne Layer in Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on November 30, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Valerie Joan Gray (Edwin Layer); her sister Joyce Closs (Braun); and her parents, Dorothy Ferne Braun (Lucas) and William Fredrick Braun. She is survived by: her sons, Kurt E. Layer of Indianapolis and Christopher W. Layer of New York; her daughter-in-law Antoinette Layer (Venizia); her grandchildren, Dr. Kyle Hayes, Erika Hayes, RN (Layer), Evan, Elizabeth Layer and Cassandra Gray; and her great grandchild Katherine Rose Hayes. She is also survived by mother, raising three children and showering her 4 grandkids.
