He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Vice and Barbara Scott (Cooper); and his wife Patricia J. "Patty" Koekenberg. He is survived by: his children, Susan Hardy (David) of Monticello and Bradley S. Vice (Patricia L.) of Davidson, NC.; his grandchildren, Daniel Hardy, Brent Hardy (Allie), Page Hardy of Walton, Matthew Vice of Atlanta, Camile Wood (Scott) of Belmont, NC and Emily Vice of Durham, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Aiden of Walton, Brooklyn of Walton, Owen Wood of Belmont, NC, Cohen and Micah Hardy.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to IU Cancer Care or Elmwood Avenue Church of Christ food pantry.
