He was predeceased by: his parents, George Owens and Georgann Owens (Davis); and his sister Denise Moore. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Thomas; his sons, G. Thomas of Lafayette and William Owens (Billy) of Lafayette; and his sister Dee Ann Schendel (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
