She was predeceased by: her parents, Donovan Shoaf and Mary Shoaf (Gardner); her husband Floyd Demoret; her son John H. Smith; and her siblings, James Shoaf and Donna Ann Gibson.
She is survived by: her friend Larry; her daughter Regina Brady of Lafayette; her brother James F. Smith (Carrie) of Edwardsport, IN.; her sons-in-law, Mohammed and Thomas Burks (Karen); her grandchild Britni Burks; and her great grandchild Skymerae Burks.
