He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrns E. Moore and Louise Moore (Halsema); his siblings, Carl, Byrns, Donald, Margaret Fife and Marilyn Hamelman; his grandchildren, Noelle Moore, Quinn Moore and Ashley Harrison; and his great grandchild Zachary Campbell.

He is survived by: his wife Evangeline Carman; his children, James A. Moore, Jr. (Dolly) of Delphi, Thomas M. Moore (Robin) of Lafayette, Georgia Palkowetz (Joseph) of LaPorte, TX, Keith Moore (Rebecca) of Lafayette, Paula Strong (Timothy) of Lafayette and Jodi Summers (Tim Harris) of West Lafayette; his sisters, Delores Goris of Lafayette and Betty Johns of Marshall, IN.; his grandchildren, Christina of James, III, Jamie, Stacey, Michael, Angie, Eric, Clinton, Autumn, Erin, Mary, Kate, Zachary, Brandy, Adam, Amber, Cody, Marty, Brian and Brittney; and his great grandchildren, Riley and Rhett. He is also survived by numerous other great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
