She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Whitehead and Lottie Mae Whitehead (Seagraves); her brothers, Ken Whitehead and David Whitehead; and her sister-in-law Betty Whitehead.

She is survived by: her husband Issam "Sam" Samman; her children, Samer Samman (Misty) of Lafayette and Sandy Haynes-Hopson (Chris Hopson) of Lafayette; her siblings, Dale Whitehead (Gladys) of Winterhaven, FL, Jim Whitehead (Myriam) of Puerto Rico and Esther Whitley of Winterhaven, FL; her grandchildren, Jordan Samman of Lafayette and Asher Haynes of Lafayette; and her sister-in-law Sandra Whitehead of Winterhaven, FL.
