It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Lucile Slaven of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David A. Reed and Irene A. Reed (Taber). She is survived by: her husband John D. Slaven of Lafayette; her children, John D. Slaven II of Martinsville, IN, Robert E. Slaven of Lafayette and Julia Knowles (Charley) of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Katherine, Emily and William; and her sister Joan L. Mohler of Glenwood, IL.
