It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Carl Kretzschmar Jr. of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Northfield, Minnesota, who passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Kretzschmar; and his half-sister Phyllis Kretzschmar. He is survived by: his wife Nell; his children, John Kretzschmar III (Jeane) of Boiling Springs, SC, Deborah Weida (Jay) of West Lafayette and Gail Grimley (Terry) of San Antonio, TX; his stepchildren, Christopher Wagner (Tina) of Owega, NY and Melissa Wu (Robert) of Lafayette; and his siblings, Mary Ann Soule (Robert) of Indiana, PA and Shirley Erickson of Minnetonka, MN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
