He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Parlon and Marjorie Whitson Parlon; and his sisters, Jane Ann Weaver (Greg) and Beth Parlon-Lyboult. He is survived by: his wife Lois Elaine Van Schepen; his children, Beth Taylor (Matt) of Fishers, IN and John P. Parlon (Hannah) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Madeline, Amelia Taylor, Vivian, John B. and Thomas Parlon; and his sibling's children, Kim Weaver Charlet (Kevin) and Bob Weaver.

Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary Cathedral.
