He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Skeel and Sylvia Alene Skeel (Coldiron); his brothers, Ronald and Samuel "Mike" Skeel; and his grandson Kaleb Emery.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sylvia Alsop (Kevin) of West Lafayette and Richard Skeel (Brenda) of Florida; his wife Sherry Skeel of Lafayette; his daughters, Crystal Acosta of Lafayette, Jessica Emery (James) of Lafayette and Ashley Stanifer of Oklahoma; and his pets, Sosa and Dexter. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
