He is survived by: his wife Josephine VanderPloeg; his children, Scott Summers (Cindy) of Aplington, IA, Larry Summers (Erin) of Martinsville, IN, Gary Summers (Kathy) of Brownsburg, IN and Terry Summers (Michele) of McCordsville, IN; and his brother Kenneth Summers (Joyce) of West Lafayette. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
