She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard L. Eikenberry and Lois R. Eikenberry (Bussard); her husband John D. Schmitz; her brother Mark; and her siblings-in-law, Jim, Allan, Don, Kathy, Molly, Daisy, Sophie and Lizzy.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Jeffrey Schmitz of Lafayette and Jennifer Colburn (Matt) of Woodinville, WA; her grandchildren, Avery, Liam, Claire and Jack; her siblings-in-law, Abbie, Sue, Sherri and Doug; her niece Amy; and her pet Stella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
