He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Leon Shuster and Vera Shuster (Brand); and his great-niece Braylee Watson. He is survived by: his sister Carolyn R. Watson (Lewis) of Otterbein; his sibling's children, Rossington Gardner (Tina) of Hudson, FL, Justin Gardner (Kim) of Monticello and Abigayle Watson of Otterbein; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan Patterson, Jenna Patterson, McKinzie Gardner, Makaila Gardner, Madison Gardner, Brielle Watson, Blake Noe, Johnnie Noe and Joshua Gardner.
