She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Whitlock and Ollie Gertrude Whitlock (Young); and her sister Mary Ann Whitlock. She is survived by: her husband John Carter; her children, William Sayler Carter of Lafayette, Debra K. Ferguson of Mulberry and Harold Duane Ferguson (Linda) of Lafayette; her brothers, Charles Whitlock (Mary Sue) of Lafayette and Jerry Whitlock (Susie) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Renee Hutton (Joe) of Mulberry and Brent Ferguson (Ashley) of Mulberry; and her great grandchildren, Isabelle, John Stevens, Ryan and Rhett Ferguson.
