She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Coopman and Georgia Coopman (Branigan); and her siblings, Beverly Brown, Shirley Robson and Harold Coopman.

She is survived by: her husband Glen R. Platt; her children, Glenda Hawthorne (Mike) of Thorntown and Brent Platt (Brandi) of Clarks Hill; her grandchildren, Mike Hawthorne of Thorntown, Aaron Hawthorne (Lauren) of Whiteland and Melenda Scott (Zach) of Anderson; her stepgrandchildren, Tyler Reeder of Brookston and Samantha Hoffman of Clarks Hill; her great grandchildren, Makayla, Taylor, Tatum, Joe, Jayden, Bronx, Max, Miller and Jordyn; her brother Ralph Coopman (Virginia); and her sister-in-law Barbara Coopman of Lafayette. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
