He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Bongen (Cunningham) and Bob Bongen; and his sister Eve Bongen. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Kara Bunch (Steve) of Lafayette and Kyle Bongen (Emily) of Indianapolis; his grandsons, Easton and Beckett Bunch of Lafayette; and his sisters, Cathy Connell (Jim) of Burnettsville, Debby Cooper (John) of Lafayette, Faith Sadtler (Fritz) of Browsnburg and Ellen Wright (Bud) of Sheridan.
