He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Walter Bruinsma and Pearl Helen Bruinsma (DeHaai); and his brother Ronald Bruinsma. He is survived by: his wife June Annette Bruinsma (Phillips); his daughter Natalie A. Schafer (Bruinsma); his grandchildren, Chase Baumgarner, Emerson Baumgarner and Kinohi Schafer; his great grandchildren, Troy A. Bruinsma (Rosalyn) and Tucker W. Bruinsma; his siblings, Larry Bruinsma, Dr. Douglas Bruinsma and Donna Pruitt (Bruinsma); and also Grace A. Bruinsma.
