He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Metzger and Agnes Metzger (Wastson); and his siblings, Emma Wettschurack, Phyllis Nazar, Gilbert, Garland and Beecher Metzger.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Anderson; and his daughters, Pamela Sue Gossage (late Bill) of Plano, TX, Candice J. Kuckartz (Kenny) of West Lafayette and Cynthia "Cindy" Budreau (Mike) of Otterbein. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
