He was predeceased by : his parents, Jerry Houlton and Marge Houlton (Zind); and his grandson Dustin. He is survived by : his wife Pam Barker; his children, Samuel J. Houlton (Melissa) of Battle Ground and Stephanie Curwick (Steve) of Romney; his siblings, Peggy Pierce of Kansas, Tim Houlton (Barbara) of California, Pat Houlton (Janet) of Minnesota and Kevin Houlton (Kristi) of Indiana; his grandchildren, Anthony, Ethan, Chaunci, Chad and Courtney; and his great grandchild Finn.

Memorial donations may be made to the Elmwood Church of Christ Food Pantry.
