He was predeceased by: his father W. Fred Matthews, Jr.; and his nephew Timmy Baumgartner. He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Matthews (Ross) of Lafayette; his wife Teresa Matthews of Lafayette; and his siblings, Pam Howenstine of Lafayette, Tamie Bever (Matt) of Pyrmont, Tina Pevler (Shaun) of Lafayette, Cherie Spenner of Florida and Tim Matthews (Sandy) of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Baptist Church in loving memory of Mike.
