He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Bill" and Mary Solomon; his wife Nancy J. Knight; and his siblings, George Solomon, Gerald Solomon, Thelma Davis and Isabelle Craft.
He is survived by: his daughters, Penny S. Coy (David) of Lafayette and Diana Manning (Keith) of Oxford. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
