She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bruel and Ruth Montrose Poynter (Ferguson); her son Darrell Locke; and her siblings, Jim, Coy, Naomi Bennett, Alma Pulliam, Barbara Coomer, Betty Frank and Beatrice Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Martin; her children, Teresa Cotten (Roger) of Lafayette, Wanda Corwin (Virgil) of Lafayette and Glenn Locke (Mendy) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Jesse Martin (Miranda), Harley Martin, Mareesa Martin, Darrell Corwin, Michelle Corwin, Natasha Locke, Ashley Locke, Macey Locke and Brooklyn Locke; and her siblings, Michael "Butter" Poynter, Loretta Snyder (Robert) of Champaign, IL. and Carolyn Poynter of Champaign, IL.. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
