He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Godbey and Helen Godbey (Smith); his wife Connie Sue Armantrout; his children, Frankie Godbey and Luke Godbey; and his siblings, Terry Dean Godbey, Tom Godbey and Sue Godbey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lacy Godbey (Anthony Mullendore) of Lafayette, Shelly Smith (Frank) of Lafayette and Jana Tyra (Jamey) of Lafayette; and his siblings, Linda Dilks-Fech of Lafayette and Donald Godbey of Clarks Hill. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
