He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kochert and Elizabeth Kochert (Albert); his former wife Barbara Ann Boyle; and his sisters, Dorothy Shrader (Kochert), Rita Hobbs (Kochert) and Mary Kochert.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene Kochert (Cathy) of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy Dailey (Tom) of Columbus, OH, Vincent Kochert (Lisa) of Charlotte, NC and Elizabeth McCraw (Donnie) of Lafaytte, IN.; his grandchildren, Amanda Monrad (Ben), Melissa Edwards, Clayton Taylor (Samantha), Megan Hart (Ben), Stephen Taylor (Christy) and Abbey Kochert; his great grandchildren, Naomi, Isaac Robinson, Robert and Nora; and his wife Barb.
Due to Covid-19, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Faker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew 25 Care and Share Soup Kitchen, 612 Wabash Avenue, Lafayette, IN 47905.
