She was predeceased by: her father Doit "Barney" Thomas; her grandparents, Alta and Oscar Young; and her close friend Patricia Trott. She is survived by: her mother Helen L. Thomas (Young); and her cousins, Jan Wynn (Cloyd), Anita Brooks (Jerry) of Tennessee, Donna Barbee of Lafayette, Jerry Barbee (Judy) of Lafayette, Mary Barbee, David Wilson, Mike Rustemeyer of Illinois, Richard Rustemeyer of Illinois, Mark Rustemeyer of Illinois, Carol Bennett (Robert) and Steve Young.

Memorial contributions in Sharon's name may be given to Indiana Mentor Network, 15 Executive Dr # 1, Lafayette, IN 47905.
