He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Amstutz and Mina Amstutz; his son Allen (Jamie); and his siblings, Harry Amstutz, John Thimlar, Keith Amstutz, Robert Amstutz, Beryl Howey, Bernice Stewart and Joyce Hiday.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Marie Hathaway; his son Harold (Cindy); and his sister Elizabeth Greenwald.

Memorial contributions may be directed to American Legion Post 11 of Lafayette.
