She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Brown and Lois "Betty" Juanita Haden (Clayton); and her husband Lawrence "Larry" Lee Szumanski. She is survived by: her daughter Jeana Whitely (Monnie) of Chicago, IL; her siblings, Gary Haden (Ann Marie) and Tina Minteferring (Tom) of Chicago, IL; and her grandson Eric Whitely of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She ran several bowling leagues including organizing trips to Las Vegas, lake front boat cruises, and Make a Wish Charity Foundation events.
