It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William A. Uerkwitz of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Uerkwitz and Josephine Uerkwitz (Kult); his wife Phyllis Hawkins; and his brother Edwin Uerkwitz. He is survived by: his children, Darrell E. Uerkwitz (Linda) of Lafayette and Pamela D. Gooden of Holiday, FL; and his brother Robert Uerkwitz of Lafayette. He is also survived by three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Simon Skodt Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
