It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Grace Burkhart of Lagrange, Indiana, born in Manchester, Michigan, who passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Burmeister and Linda Burmeister (Klager); her spouse Russell Burkhart; her son Richard Burkhart; and her sister Alice Burmeister.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Burkhart (Denise) of Boise, ID, Jean Farmwald (Jeff) and Joan Bontrager (Ray) of Shipshewana; and her sisters, Joyce Hoeft (David) of Manchester, MI, Carol Burmeister of Saline, MI and Gail Knight (Marie) of Sault Ste. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice hospital in care of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
