With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Karen J. Sanford in Lanesville, Indiana, born in Louisville, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Karen had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Karen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her father John Erb; and her siblings, Dale Erb and Latricia Fahringer. She is survived by: her sons, Cameron Sanford and Kobe Johnson; her mother Carol Erb; and her sisters, Tracy Erb, Pam Pavlik, Tina Glotzbach (Bill) and Kirstie Edwards (David). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tunnel Hill Cemetery (5105 Old Georgetown Rd, Georgetown, IN 47122).
In lieu of flowers Karen would have asked that contributions in her memory to be be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, as she knew the hard struggles that the children go through as she did battling her own cancer.
