With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Jane Vest of Lexington, Indiana, who passed away on November 7, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Gilbert Brown and Maggie Brown (Marshall); her former life partner Robert Hall; her brothers, James, Gilbert Ray, Robert, Arnold and Frank Brown; and her stepson Rickey Vest.

She is survived by : her husband Donald R. Vest of Lexington, Indiana; her children, Douglas Hall (Debbie) of Scottsburg, Indiana, Michael Hall of Scottsburg, Indiana, Donald Hall of Scottsburg, Indiana and Wanda Sue Barnett (George) of Lexington, Indiana; her siblings, Kenny Brown (Gloria) of Underwood, David Brown (Arlene) of Austin, Indiana, Elsie Mae Garland of Scottsburg, Indiana and Lena Fay Smith (Donald) of Scottsburg, Indiana; and her stepchildren, Terry Vest (Patty) of Bedford, Kentucky, Kathy Burge (Tim) of Scottsburg, Indiana and Tammy Epperson of Scottsburg, Indiana. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
