He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Jim, Beverly Elkins and Dorothy Buchanan; and his aunts, Laura Shattuck and Betty Sollars.

He is survived by : his parents, Stephen Schoffstall and Candice Elkins Schoffstall; his fiancée Debbie Wright; his grandchildren, Jack Dunn, Brooklynn Schoffstall, Arianna Wright, Gunnar Schoffstall and Stephen Schoffstall (Keli); his sister Diana Murphy; and his nephews, Logan Murphy, Nathan Murphy and Blake Bass.
