It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Smith of Logansport, Indiana, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy B. Smith and Delouris Smith (Beale); and his siblings, Lucille, Bob, Tom and David Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Smith (Hawkins); his children, Susan E. Smith of Logansport, Lou Smith of Logansport and Matt Smith of Logansport; his sister Joan Foster; his granddaughters, Emily Brandstetter (Kurt) of Logansport, Jamie Nies of Logansport and Julie Layman of Logansport; and his cousin Lynda Gust of Bradenton, Florida..
