He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances McKinley and Lela McKinley (Mendenhall). He is survived by: his wife Mary McKinley of Logansport; his children, Mark E. McKinley (Terri) of Peru, Gail A. Schneidau (Tim) of Peru, Karen S. Hanna (Jason) of Royal Center and Jay Throop (Jeanne) of Florida; his sister Judy Smelser (Charlie) of Walton; and his close friends, Marvin Hamilton and Rick Jones. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Honor Guard.
