It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Kathleen Helvie (Logansport, Indiana), born in Monticello, Kentucky, who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, D. C. Abbott and Bonnie Marie Abbott (Kennedy); her sisters, Mildred Monday, Vela Steele and Vivian Wert; and her stepson William Helvie.
She is survived by: her husband Everett J. Butler; her children, Steven Butler (Deanna) of The Villages, FL, Deron Butler (Pamela), Richard Eric Butler (Laura) of Clermont, GA, Sharon McNeely (Bill) of Shelbyville, IN and Marsha Hinshaw; and her stepsons, John Helvie (Madelyn), Theodore Helvie and David (Julie). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
