He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Joan Deyot; and his brother David Deyot. He is survived by: his children, Susan Lueder (Robert), Robin Brighton (Steve), Janis Kummerl (Michael) and Allison Kondrat (Paul); his grandchildren, Adam Lueder, Emily Lueder, Christopher Howe, Laura Howe, Joe Kummerl and Alyssa Kummerl; and his siblings, Bruce Deyot (Carmen), Joan Yuskevich and Linda Felschow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerald's name may be given to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
