She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Butler (Ada) and Dorothy Opal Joy; her husband Dennis Lee Fakes; her daughter Tamara Joy Fakes; her siblings, Barney Sr., Jimmie, Clara Mae and Marylin Smith; her sister-in-law Roberta Boblitt; her niece Brenda; her niece-in-law Cheryl; and her grandson Steven.
She is survived by: her children, Angie Fakes (Raul) of Marion, Kevin Fakes (Amy) of Plymouth and Jason Fakes of Marion; her sister-in-law Sandy Knauer Hurd (Gary); her grandchildren, Raymond (Brooke), Seth, Megan (Brandon), Tyra, Nathan, Hailey, Ian, Carson and Ben; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Brooklyn, Blaine, Aubrey, Everlee, Oaklee, Xiomara and Camila; and her sibling's children, Barney Jr., Frank (Mary), Ken (Cindy), Chad (Cindy) and Laura (Danny).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
