He is survived by : his children, Eric Schiefer (Diana) of Martinsville, Karl Schiefer (Dawn) of Bloomington, Mark Schiefer of Martinsville, Cindy Cody (Dennis) of Tucson and Lynn Garett of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
