It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon L. Swafford of Martinsville, Indiana, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon L. Hiney Jr. and Jacquilin Louise "Jackie" Gray (Swafford). He is survived by: his wife Deanna M. Swafford (Ashley) of Martinsville, IN; his stepchildren, Carson Ashley of Bloomington, IN and Felix Ashley-Yazell of Greenfield, IN; his stepbrothers, Nathan Gray (Brandy) of Indianapolis and Timothy Gray (Carrie) of Indianapolis; his half-sister Erin Rasmussen (Chad) of North Carolina; his uncle Troy Swafford (Kim) of Anderson, IN; his stepmother Cynthia Hiney of North Carolina; his brothers-in-law, Douglas Ashley (Laura) of Indianapolis and Dennis Ashley (Nikki Kiecker) of Pendleton, IN; and his parents-in-law, David and Diane Ashley of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Falls Park (520 Falls Park Dr, Pendleton, IN 46064).
