He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Elkins and Jessie I. Elkins (Milich); and his siblings, Fred Elkins, Mary Louise Elkins and Norma Jean Belfire.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Bensman (Michelle), Jessie Elkins (Chris) and Carla Hail (James); his brother Vernon Elkins; and his stepsons, James McClure (Jill) and Robert McClure. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
