Robert R. Gurchiek Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert R. Gurchiek (Martinsville, Indiana), who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bartholomew Joseph "Bert" and Sarah Mildred Gurchiek (Knight); his son Brian Robert Gurchiek; and his siblings, Donald Joseph Gurchiek, Linda Darlene Gurchiek and Patricia Lee Snow.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Gurchiek (Zirkle) of Bargersville, IN; his daughter Lisa Stepanski (Terry) of Iowa; his stepchildren, Jerry Foxworthy (Sharon) of Martinsville, IN and Patti Summers (Trent) of Greenwood, IN; his sister Nancy Sue Gurchiek of Hymera, IN; his grandchildren, Robert (Taylor), William Stepanski, Mark Riley, Rechelle Scrogham (Marvin), Nicole Nguyen (Lamson), Lynlee Lafary (John), Hannah Johnson (Jarrett) and Cody Campbell (Hannah); and his great grandchildren, Nolan, Tanner Stepanski, Daphaine Scrogham, Zander, Zoey, Zena Lafary, Trenton, Levi and Micah Nguyen. He is also survived by his loving family, many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to either the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
