It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rowena Janell Lankford of Matthews, Indiana, born in Dugger, Indiana, who passed away on September 19, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Col. John Cummings Sr. and Ruth Cummings (Young); and her husband Ken Lankford. She is survived by : her daughters, Kendall Lankford of Solsberry and Kiersten Schiffer (Andrew) of New Hartford, CT; her brother John Cummings, Jr. of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Lauren Schiffer (Scott Leger) of Miami, FL, Andy Schiffer (Alli Olivieri) of New Hartford, Ben Schiffer of Albany, NY and Sam Schiffer of New Hartford, CT; her great grandchild Finley Rowen Schiffer; her nephews, John Cummings III of Bloomfield and Matthew Cummings (Danielle) of Greencastle; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma, Ethan, Jazmine and Sage; and her friends, Chuck Pate, Jeff Wisner, Eric Rensberger, Suzy Fulkerson, Bev Ohneck-Holly, Nancy Vitello, Steve Arnold, Rich Balaban and Keith Kelly.
