He was predeceased by: his parents, Aristeo Torres and Telesfora Torres. He is survived by: his wife Cecilia; his daughters, Elizabeth Villalpando (Jesse) and Angelina Solik (James); his grandchildren, Katalina and Jason Villalpando; and his sisters, Antonia and Patricia.

Due to health and safety concerns with Covid-19, private family services were held at Geisen Funeral and Cremation Services in Merrillville, IN.
