James C. Carlson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Carlson of Merrillville, Indiana, born in Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on March 13, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Andrea (Lockridge); his son James Keith Carlson; his parents, Clarence Carlson and Helen Carlson (Szumilas); his sister Katherine (Kitty); and his brother-in-law John Batliner.
He is survived by: his children, Raine Carlson Spott of Schererville, IN, Diana Yonker (Jim) of Bluffton, IN and Christine Rotheker (Michael) of Elkhart, IN; his daughter-in-law Darcy Carlson of Knox; his siblings, Paul Carlson (Claudia) of Cedar Lake, IN., Sue Pavelka (Ed) of Hobart, IN and Nance Carlson (Rob Gale) of Punta Gorda, FL.; and his grandchildren, Maritza, Lauren Spott, Jenna, Brynn, Matthew Yonker, Aidan, Sarah, Emily Rotheker, Zachery of Alex, AJ and Savannah Carlson. He is also survived by his family and friends.
Memorials may be made in Jim's memory to the American Legion Post #111 Honor Guard and can be sent to the funeral home.
