It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosie M. Vara of Merrillville, Indiana, who passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Kyle Vara; her parents, Walter Bowermaster and Caroline Gayer; and her cousin Evelyn "Dolly" Soucie. She is survived by: her husband Rico Vara; her children, Rico Vara, Jr. (Esmeralda), Angelica Betancourt (Aaron), Destiny Vara, Aaron Vara and Jacob Vara; her grandchildren, Ricky, Emery Vara, Kairi, Allison Betancourt and Alana Vara; and her siblings, Donna Avilla (Jimmy), Stephanie Smith (Kelly), Donald Gayer, Sheila Bowermaster and Bill Bowermaster (Carm). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and good friends.
