He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferris Ponder and Anna Sydow (Morgan); and his brother Donald Ponder (Peggy). He is survived by: his wife Eloise Ponder (Snyder); his children, Judy Hensell (Mark), Charles R. Ponder (Sheryl), Donna Ordziejewski, Brian Ponder (Pamela) and Beverly Rice (Joseph); his grandchildren, Shannon, Erin, Kelli Jo, Jennalee, Chuck, Rane, Skye, Tiffany, Charlie, Amanda, Allie, Tyler and Ryan; and his siblings, Timothy Sydow and Beckie Fischer. He is also survived by 27 great- grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Charles' honor to: St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
